PGES - Tonya Curtsinger

Preschool Teacher & Coordinator

"You have such a special gift for laying the foundation for learning in the most thoughtful and meaningful way. The way you care so deeply for your students and their families shines through in everything you do. Your classroom is not just a place to learn — it’s a place where children feel seen, valued, and inspired. You make a lasting impact, not only through your teaching but through your kindness, patience, and dedication. Thank you for all the love and effort you put into helping little ones grow. You are truly making a difference every single day."

PGMS - Alana Ashworth

Fifth Grade Science

"Alana goes above and beyond for students and staff. Her students are showing growth in all levels. She has been a leader this year in data collection and student agency. Her ideas are being used across the school next year to better help students know their current achievement levels, their potential for growth, and how to obtain those goals. She has also planned potlucks, mentored teachers, and supported novice and veteran teachers throughout the year. Alana Ashworth displays the qualities needed to be an Arkansas Teacher of the Year. "

PGJH - Kelbie Osburn

English Language Arts

"Kelbie is an absolute light on our campus. She gets the best out of students because she cares deeply for them while also holding them to a high standard. She makes everyone feel welcome and is always willing to help anyone in any way she can. She is a talented educator with a proven track record of growing students. She has an innate ability to approach skills in a way that makes them easy for students to understand. When students are struggling, she goes out of her way to connect and help them."

PGHS - Evan Hubbard

Mathematics

"There is so much to say about Hubbard. Come to the hallway in between classes and watch how he interacts with students. He connects with so many kids. Not just the ones he has in class. He sponsors FCA, works hard on the college classes, and is supportive of other programs at our school. Several times a week, you will see him at a softball game, baseball game, choir concert, jazz band concert, etc. On top of all of that, he is always trying to help kids plan their future. If he hears about a college plan or work plan that a student is interested in, he will create a three-page document to guide them. He lives and breathes the students at PGHS. He is a true team player, the biggest fan of our students, and loves his job. In addition to all the things he does at PGHS, he is constantly taking classes to improve his knowledge of his subject."
